Kirkbizeh - One of Byzantine Heritage Sites

Kirkbizeh is found on edge of Jabal Ola and overlooks the plain of village Hattan. Tchalenko thinks that the settlers, who joined the community established around the dominant land-holder, needed to supplement their resources with exploitation of grain on the plain below.
At the site it can be seen a third century house, a fourth century church which contain a bema in the single nave, two other villas and remains of six modest farmhouses.
تتمركز قرقبيزة على حافة الوادي الذي ينحدر إليه غربا جبل العلى وشرقا جبل باريشا. والمكان مبني على جبل باريشا. وحسب تشالينكو، احتاج القادمون هنا لاستغلال أراضي السهل لزراعة الحبوب بالاضافة الى الزيتون، الذي كان في يد الاقطاعي هنا آنذاك.
يمكن مشاهدة بناء من القرن الثالث و كنيسة من القرن الرابع الذي يحتوي على بيما، و بنائين آخرين، وست بقايا منازل ريفية.
