Saint Simon Cathedral

One of most picturesque historical places in Syria.
Located west to Aleppo city by 40km. The area with similar ruins is called 'Dead Cities' area.

The shadows of the past.

Dead Cities area. Historical scene.

The ultimate beauty.

Spring look of Saint Simon Cathedral.

Intertwinning arcs.

Today visitors enjoy much the splendor of the site, and is one of most visited areas in Syria. It is in the 'must to see' list.

The building has the shape of cross, in the middle is the octagon, which is centred by the column. It is said to be the place of preaching of the monk. Four basilicas surround the octagon.
