Hotel Baron, Alep 1924.
This is from Derounian's album published in those times. I suddenly found this in my dad's archives!

hi there,

I'd like to thank you for your great efforts, many many many short articles and as many pictures that depict Syria to us syrians and to the world.

I guess I am very late, on syrian blogs, me who believed Syria was insulated and inaccessible. In fact I see it exposed and receptive to accept the world and it's interrogations.

Since you are born from Armenian descendants (of what I know), it would be quite interesting knowing about the arrival of the armenians into Aleppo, through their accomplishments in the historic city of Aleppo. Also knowing about their identity (immense cultural baggage), the cultural exchange with the people living there, and how they managed to get where they are now. Interesting...

What is the Derounian's album, was it in english and french?

Salutations,
Elie
